Posted March 10, 2020 06:51:46 A new survey suggests you can find a healthier alternative to going to the doctor, a florister in New Jersey said.
The National Florist’s Health Report for April 2018 found that floristic shops and grocery stores offer “greater health outcomes for people” by providing better access to preventive services, the company said in a release on Monday.
The report, released by the Florists Union, found that there are 3,100 floristers in the U.S., of which more than 60% are located in the West.
It found that a florian is one who is licensed to practice floriculture.
More than 70% of floristas are women, the report said.
While the majority of florian’s work is in the retail sector, they are also seen in a variety of health professions.
More: More than 1,000 florismists are working in New York City, according to the report.
The company also found that the number of florians is growing in the United States, with more than 7,600 in 2018.
The survey found that in California, floristry has more than tripled in the past decade, to nearly 6,600 florings in 2018 from fewer than 700 in 2009.
California is home to nearly a quarter of the nation’s floristics, the study said.
California has a floret tax, which has been in effect since 2013, that requires all floris to pay $2 per pound of flours and to have a health-related certification.
It was last changed in 2015, the first year the tax was in effect.
