Florist and restaurant chain Knoxville has announced that they are now accepting Bitcoin payments for their business.
The company’s CEO, Michael Knutson, says that the decision to accept Bitcoin was not made lightly.
“It was a very difficult decision to make, but we wanted to do it because it is a currency that people can use.
It’s a good currency for us to accept because we have a good track record,” he said.
Knutssons company is one of the first major online retailers to accept cryptocurrency.
“We’re excited to be working with Bitcoin, a technology that we believe will open the door to new opportunities for businesses to reach new customers and grow,” he added.
Knoxvillians website, www.knoxvillains.com, also features a QR code to allow customers to purchase goods and services from the store using Bitcoin.
The QR code is displayed as a QR barcode, which allows Bitcoin users to scan the barcode into their browser.
Bitcoin can be exchanged for other currencies at a merchant’s bank account.
In addition to accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment, Knutks has recently added a Bitcoin ATM, a Bitcoin vending machine and a Bitcoin-only coffee shop.
Knutzs Bitcoin ATM currently accepts a total of five Bitcoins for its services.
Knuths has also become the first coffee shop in the world to accept Bitcoins as a payment option.
